Application

  • Laundry Whitening: Sodium percarbonate is commonly used as a laundry additive to brighten whites and remove stains. It can be added directly to the wash or used to pre-soak heavily soiled or stained items.
  • Stain Removal: It's effective for removing organic stains such as those from coffee, tea, wine, and grass. You can make a paste by mixing it with water and apply it directly to the stain before washing.
  • Surface Cleaning: Sodium percarbonate can be used to clean various surfaces around the house, including countertops, tile, grout, and even outdoor surfaces like decks and patio furniture. Dissolve it in water and use it as a general-purpose cleaner.
  • Mold and Mildew Removal: Its oxygenating properties make it effective for killing mold and mildew. It can be used on surfaces like bathroom tiles, shower curtains, and outdoor siding.
  • Deck and Wood Cleaning: Sodium percarbonate is gentler than chlorine bleach, making it suitable for cleaning wooden decks and fences without damaging the wood fibers.
  • Septic System Maintenance: It can be used periodically to help maintain a healthy balance of bacteria in septic systems, aiding in the breakdown of organic matter.
  • Carpet Cleaning: For carpets, it can be used as a pre-treatment for stains or added to carpet cleaning solutions to help lift dirt and stains.
